Cynthia and Jon Miles, the owners of National Hypnosis in Lowes Island, Va., are in the business of transforming lives.

They are both certified hypnotherapists who have owned and operated National Hypnosis since 2007. In the last 10 years, they have treated hundreds of clients, employing their own unique brand of hypnotherapy and coaching to help people overcome a vast variety of challenges. These include sleep and eating disorders, addictions, fears, phobias and limiting core beliefs that diminish the energy, focus, and purpose of individual lives.

Cynthia and Jon also help people with their careers, working with individuals to unlock their true potential at work as well as helping business leaders as they strive to take their companies to a higher level.

As a long-time franchise and small business owner, Cynthia is well versed in business matters and has a keen understanding of what it takes to make both large and small businesses successful. By combining her business and hypnosis skills, Cynthia is able to work with clients to create powerful and dynamic changes.

Jon also has extensive experience in the business world but with a different perspective. Aside from being a hypnotherapist, Jon is also a television producer with credits on CBS This Morning, PBS, and the Real Housewives of New Jersey, among others. He also ran a company for Robert DeNiro growing the company to three offices on the east and west coasts over a seven year period.

Cynthia and Jon practice and are certified in four forms of hypnosis, including Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Eye Movement Integration, Brief Ericksonian Hypnotherapy and Stage Hypnosis. This gives Cynthia and Jon a set of tools that ninety percent of hypnotherapists lack, making it possible for them to draw from a diverse set of resources and to pivot when necessary to adjust to the needs of their clients.

By employing a combination of techniques, Jon and Cynthia reach deep into a person’s subconscious, producing almost immediate and enduring changes. They succeed in eliminating certain unhelpful behaviors as well as the root causes that account for the behaviors, going far beyond traditional hypnosis and thus making National Hypnosis truly unique.

With their brand of hypnotherapy, Cynthia and Jon are able to reframe recent and past experiences, creating natural and evolving changes that seamlessly align with a person’s inherent instincts and choices, not their reactions. In this way, National Hypnosis equips people with a new set of resources and strategies for overcoming difficulties and facing challenges, making them proactive instead of reactive.

Jon and Cynthia acknowledge that many people have misgivings about trying hypnotherapy. But those misgivings fade away when people start working with National Hypnosis. A common refrain they hear from clients is “I wish I found you sooner.” says Jon.

“Stop living a smaller life than you desire,” says Cynthia. “Find the power of your own mind and the difference it can make by focusing on your natural resources to achieve a greater sense of personal value while achieving things much easier and faster than you thought possible.”
